Jesus
Who is He
What is He
Why is He
Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful! For
they shall obtain mercy.
Saved from Hell!
Revelation 9:20 And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;
Apparently, there can be short term advantage in the worship of demons meaning wealth and position however in the long term it produces misery as in drug addiction and eternity in the âLake of Fireâ.
Revelation chapter 9 clearly shows us that one purpose of God in allowing Evil is to push unredeemed humans toward Himself through their repentance even with great force and away from Evil SO: that He, God can save everyone but this does not always work with the flint, rock, mule headed who prefer Evil which is their choice from their volition, free will and actually proves they cannot be saved.
It is imperative for us to understand that Evil destroys and it is being tolerated for a time period so that God’s redeemed creatures understand who, what, and why.
Revelation 9:21 and they did not turn to righteousness, repent of their murders nor of their sorceries, recreational drugs nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.
Revelation 11:18 And the nations were full of wrath, and Your, God’s wrath came, and the time of the judging of the dead, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to the ones fearing Your name, to the small and to the great, and to destroy those destroying the earth. This is not about ecology or so called fossil fules.
Colossians 3:5 Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry, 1John 1:8-10.
Colossians 3:6 For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, Ephesians 2:2.
Colossians 3:7 and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them.
The Church is believing Jew’s and Gentile’s !
Roman chapter 9 is not saying that God is capricious in His Election of Saints but by His foreknowledge He, God foreknew who would repent, turn toward the God of righteousness and who would not.
If you had 2 cars and one had a bad motor which one would you put the gasoline in??
Romans 9:22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power, authority over Evil known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction:
Romans 9:23 and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory,
Romans 9:24 even us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles, Romans 8:28-30.
Spiritual Israel!
Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.
Romans 11:17 But if some of the branches, Jews were broken off, and you, being a wild olive branch, a Gentile were grafted in among them, believing Israel and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree,
Romans 11:18 do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.
Because Christianity is a Jewish religion and Gentiles were included after Pentecost then Jewish Scriptures are for the knowledge of Gentiles also even though much is the history of God dealing exclusively with the Jews and some proselytes through the âLaw of Mosesâ.
The New Testament does not replace the Old Testament but is the continuation and fulfillment of the Old Testament with much more revealed information regarding who, what, and why with the Sacrificial Law and Priest Hood of the âLaw of Mosesâ being superseded, replaced by the Melchizedek Priest Hood which is not God changing His mind but rather proceeding to the final and preplanned phases unto eternity, Matthew 5:17.
A chapter for all Christians!
1Peter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect who are sojourners of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Elect here means chosen of God, Romans 8:28-30.
Sojourners here means they temporarily live in these areas due to the immoral living of those in Judah as God removed them from the Land, Judah as a discipline.
Most of Israel’s land is still in the hands of unbelieving Gentiles and will be turned over to Israel after Armageddon with the current occupying forces being dead.
The boundaries of Israel will be those given to Abraham by God in the book of Genesis and will be many times larger than the current state, the country of Israel is today.
In verse 1:1 of this Epistle, letter God lets us know this is addressed to the elect Jews who are of the dispersion who are probably from Judah which was the southern part of Israel at that time. They are in exile and living in the 5 areas mentioned in verse one.
James 1:1 is also addressed to the dispersed 12 tribes of Israel making it a general epistle, letter to Israel.
1Peter 1:2 who are Elected, sanctified, saved according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in, by means of sanctification of the Holy Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, as vessels of Mercy: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
1Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Peter 1:4 unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Peter 1:5 who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time, possibly the Rapture.
1Peter 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, for discipline ye have been put to grief in manifold, different trials,
1Peter 1:7 that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:
1Peter 1:8 whom not having seen ye love; on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1Peter 1:9 receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Proved by fire is an expression meaning gold that is exposed to fire has the dross, impurities burned out. Here this is an allegory and purification results in the salvation of our souls, James 5:19-20.
Salvation is the âGift of Godâ while ârewardsâ are a result of our life lived in the flesh through faith and obedience to God.
This is a reminder that salvation, being saved from the âlake of Fireâ, hell is the starting line for the Great Race ending at the Rapture with the in betweens determining ârewardsâ for faithful service.
2Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;
2Timothy 4:8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
1Peter 1:10 Concerning which salvation, Soul Salvation the Old Testament prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Peter 1:11 searching what time or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did point unto, when it, the Spirit of Christ testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them.
1Peter 1:12 To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you, did they minister these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
1Peter 1:13 Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober, sober minded and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ, probably the Rapture ;
1Peter 1:14 as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance:
1Peter 1:15 but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living;
1Peter 1:16 because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.
1Peter 1:17 And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:
1Peter 1:18 knowing that ye were redeemed, past tense, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, past generations from Adam ;
1Peter 1:19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ:
1Peter 1:20 who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested, came forth at the end of times for your sake,
1Peter 1:21 who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.
1Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth, God’s Word unto unfeigned,not pretend love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:
1Peter 1:23 having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth, remains forever.
1Peter 1:24 For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth:
1Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word of good tidings which was preached unto you.
